Arabic Kuthu, Mental Manadhil, and The Breakup Song are some of her best-known tracks. She has a large following on YouTube as well. The title track from Chennai Express served as her vocal debut in 2013.

- Jonita Gandhi was raised by Delhi-based Punjabi immigrants. She was reared in Brampton, Canada when her family moved there when she was nine months old. Later, her family made Mississauga its home.
- Jonita attended Turner Fenton Secondary School and the University of Western Ontario’s Ivey Business School, where she earned her bachelor’s degrees in health science and business in 2012. She has received formal instruction in both Western and Hindustani classical singing.
- Because her father and brother were also part-time musicians, Jonita grew up surrounded by music. Together, they frequently sang cover songs at live neighborhood events.
- She submitted an application to Canadian Idol when she was 16 years old, however, she was not selected. She started doing YouTube covers in her bedroom, occasionally collaborating with other nearby musicians like Akash Gandhi.
