Shilpa Shetty Kundra (born 8 June 1975) is an Indian actress who primarily worked in Hindi language movies. She is also a film producer, dancer, author, businesswoman, and former model. Shilpa Shetty made her acting debut in the 1993 thriller Baazigar, which earned her two nominations for Filmfare Awards. She then performed a dual role in the hugely popular action comedy Main Khiladi Tu Anari (1994), which was her next big role.

| Controversies | • Shilpa was given non-bailable arrest warrants by a Madurai court in April 2006 for “posing in an obscene manner” in pictures that were featured in a Tamil publication. • Richard Gere gave Shetty a bear hug and a firm kiss on the cheek on April 15, 2007, while the two were attending an AIDS awareness event. • Kavita, Shilpa’s husband’s ex-wife, said Shilpa was to blame for their separation. • Navin Ramchandra Lade, General Secretary of the Rojgar Aghari Republican Party of India, filed a FIR against Shilpa Shetty and Salman Khan in December 2017 at the Andheri Police station in Mumbai for allegedly using the word “bhangi” in a public setting and offending the Scheduled Caste community. • Shilpa Shetty and her businessman-husband Raj Kundra served Sherlyn Chopra with a defamation complaint for levelling “false and unsubstantiated” accusations against them on October 19, 2021. Additionally, they demanded that Chopra provide a seven-day unconditional public apology in reputable publications and on digital media outlets.
